It all begins on Palm Saturday with the impressive procession of “Jesús del Consuelo” from the temple “La Recolección”. This procession passes right in front of our hotel at approximately 9:00 pm.
On Palm Sunday our guests have the opportunity to watch closely the procession of “Jesús de los Milagros” from the temple of “San José”. Many miracles have been adjudicated to this consecrated image. This procession has a large number of devotees.
On Holy Monday afternoon, our visitors have a chance to witness one more procession: “Jesús de las Tres Potencias”, that represents the power of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The procession turns its lights on right in front of Cantabria, giving the spectators a great chance to take wonderful pictures. |
On Holy Tuesday morning “Jesús de la Merced” well known as “La Reseña”, moves along a short route. The special characteristic of this procession is that is has no ornaments at all. It is a tradition that its devotees throw bunches of colorful flowers on its top.
On Holy Wednesday by noon, “Jesús del Rescate” goes out of the temple of Santa Teresa. This temple is just four blocks away from Cantabria.
The procession passes in front of our hotel in the afternoon.
On Holy Thursday at 7:00 am. “Jesús de Candelaria, Cristo Rey” begins an 18 hour- route. Its long path is all covered with colorful sawdust carpets.
On Good Friday, “Jesús de la Merced” leaves its temple at 5:00 am. |

Our guests have the chance to participate in the elaboration of the carpets (made of colored-sawdust). They can work with us. We’ll join our neighbors and do it all together.
